Cody Rhodes made his successful WWE return at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas. Rumors have speculated that his wife Brandi Rhodes is also in talks with WWE regarding her role in the company. The couple stunned the wrestling industry when they announced their departure from AEW earlier this year. They were a regular fixture on TV since its inception in 2019. After failing contract discussions with Tony Khan and AEW, both Brandi and Cody Rhodes left the company.

Brandi Rhodes previous stint in WWE
Brandi Rhodes was assigned to the developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling, which has now upgraded to NXT 2.0 signed with WWE in 2011. She had worked as a rig announcer for several WWE brands like Superstars and NXT under the name Eden Stiles. Brandi also appeared as an announcer in Smackdown. She was granted her request for release in the same year. She returned to WWE in 2013. Her ring name was shortened to Eden and resumed her role as the ring announcer. She made her pay-per-view ring announcing debut at WrestleMania 31. She later left the company with her husband, Cody Rhodes, in 2016.

Current plans for Brandi in WWE
Fightful has reported that Brandi has had discussions with prominent WWE personalities about getting an on-screen role. It’s unclear if it means she’ll wrestle or if she’ll be doing something that doesn’t require her to take any bumps. Brandi had been working hard to improve in the ring during her tenure in AEW, and she has indicated a desire to wrestle more.
Seth Rollins appears to be in favour of Brandi returning to the ring. Rollins and Becky Lynch were asked who they would love to wrestle in a mixed tag team match during a WrestleMania panel last Sunday. Becky Lynch named Edge and Beth Phoenix while Rollins named Cody and Brandi Rhodes.

“The American Nightmare” is set to wrestle The Miz on Monday Night Raw, but he’s also advertised for house show matches against Seth Rollins, so it’s unclear who he’ll be competing with on TV right now.
