Derek Brunson and Darren Till will share the UFC Octagon this weekend inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Darren Till will finally return to the UFC cage after more than a year away from the Octagon. Darren Till was last seen in action against former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. Till lost the bout via unanimous decision, and is currently 1-1 in his middleweight journey.
Darren Till was scheduled to take on Jack Hermansson at one point, however, the match-up did not see the light of the day after Till pulled out of the bout due to an injury. Till was later scheduled to take on Marvin Vettori, but once again the fight did not take place after Till pulled out of the bout due to a broken collarbone.
Darren Till is now scheduled to face Derek Brunson in a five-round main event. Earlier, there were plans that the bout would take place in the UK considering the popularity of Darren Till in Europe. Additionally, fan-favorite Paddy Pimblett’s debut gave another reason for the promotion to go to Europe. However, the plan just couldn’t capitalize, and UFC Vegas 26 will now take place inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
