The baby face Stephen Curry has cemented his legacy among the all-time greats in NBA history.
There were a lot of narratives flying around that Curry never shows up for the finals. Even though he has had many great final performances.
Regardless, Curry averaged 31.2 points on 48% from the field, 43% from behind the arc, and 85% from the charity stripe. He even had 43 points, and 10 rebounds in a crucial game 4, when the Dubs were down 2-1. He also capped the finals in a closing game 6 with a split of 34-7-7.
After the win, Steph broke down crying as we have never seen, even in his first-ever championship, this one meant more to him.
All the struggles he and his team went through in the past 3 years from being the worst team in the NBA to numerous injuries. As he explains “Snapshot of the last three years all that came out when the final horn sounded”.
Regardless, they were able to overcome all obstacles and the 2 times MVP showed it in his emotions. However, his other splash brother Klay Thompson made fun of him for crying on the court.
Klay was mocking Stephen Curry for crying on the basketball court to which Curry sarcastically replied “There’s no crying in basketball”. To which Thompson replied “I’m not crying, you are crying” to which the crowd erupted in laughter.
Klay: “Who cries on the basketball court?”
Steph: “There’s no crying in basketball”
