Reigning Formula one WDC champion Max Verstappen arrived late at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit where the Saudi Arabian GP is going to be held. After a satisfying one-two at Sakhir in the Bahrain GP, Max Verstappen looks to hang on to the domination he created in the 2022 season. He took to Twitter to let fans know that he had been battling a bug and had postponed his flight by a day.

Verstappen on Bahrain GP
The Dutchman mentioned to F1 about his Bahrain GP weekend “This is exactly what we were dreaming of and what we wanted to achieve, so yeah, a great day for the whole team” and that it was a great start for the whole team, something they are not very familiar with. However, he ended the remarks by optimistically letting the fans know that Red Bull marches on.
He confidently spoke about the last race “I think also, the car was working on every [tire] compound we put on the car, so it looked a bit of course lonely out there, but there was still a lot of things to look at, or fine-tune, but overall I’m very happy to win here”.

The race was a contrast to last year’s Bahrain GP, when Max and Checo both suffered DNFs, giving Ferrari hopes for a title win after quite a while. He also mentioned the Jeddah weekend, “I do expect on race pace that everyone is closer in Jeddah,” and that it is a different circuit and that it has more straights and fast corners.
