The name Mystic Mac” has stuck with McGregor’s name ever since his early years in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Fondly called the Notorious, McGregor has often referred to himself as the Mystic Mac, and rightfully so. Conor McGregor has earned the reputation for being one of the most polarising figures in the history of sports entertainment.

The former dual champion has time and again proved his credibility inside the cage, and boasts an incredible resume with notable wins over the likes of Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway, Chad Mendes, and Eddie Alvarez among others.

Over the years, McGregor has put up one great performance after another to cement his legacy as one of the greatest of all time. However, what makes McGregor different from other fighters is his ability to sell the fight. Be it his skills on the microphone, or his brash demeanor, the Notorious never failed to bring it inside the Octagon.

Conor McGregor took to social media to claim himself as the “Mystic Mac.” Needless to say, the name Mystic Mac is evidently because of McGregor’s tendency to predict the outcome of his fights to the level of accuracy that has made many fight fans gasp in wonder and amusement.

Did Conor McGregor change his nickname?

It is McGregor’s confidence in himself that has made him what he is today, the biggest star in the world of mixed martial arts. Furthermore, McGregor’s ability to back his talk has made him earn the respect of fight fans around the world. While the last few fights have not turned out the way McGregor would have expected, the Notorious is still one of the most fiercest and impactful fighters in the UFC.

While it is McGregor’s habit to predict the outcome of his fights, he has remained humble whenever the fight has not gone his way. Staying true to the business side of mixed martial arts, the former dual champion continues to bring huge attention and media coverage to the UFC and over the years has become one of the greatest combat sports athletes in the world.

“If you can see it here and if you have the courage enough to speak it, it will happen.”

Who can forget McGregor’s word-for-word prediction against Jose Aldo that saw him create history against arguably the greatest featherweight of all time, Jose Aldo to become the undisputed featherweight champion of the world. The Mystic Mac is real, and he has done it several times in his UFC career that it’s hard to question McGregor’s ability to see through his opponents and dictate the pace of the fight.
