Belal Muhammad is one of the most hated UFC fighters. The Welterweight fighter has a decent resume, however, he barely has any fans. Why is Belal hated so much and does not have many fans? Let’s find out.
A recurring answer to the question has been that Belal is “boring”. The former Titan FC Welterweight champion does not provide any excitement in the Octagon, according to many fans.

A Redditor asked the question in the r/ufc community and the members responded similarly. One Reddit user wrote that Belal has an “Incredibly boring style.”
Another fan wrote, “He’s about as exciting as boiled chicken.”
However, one fan went on to give a deep analogy. The Reddit user claimed that UFC fighters need to possess three things – Excitement on the mic, excitement in the Octagon, and skills inside the Octagon. They believe Israel Adesanya and Conor McGregor possess all three of the requirements. However, Belal only has the third.
According to many, Belal’s low-excitement factor is clear in the amount of decision victories he has had. However, they forget that these are still victories. As of December 2023, Belal boasts an impressive 23-1-3 record. He was ranked #2 in the UFC welterweight rankings going into 2024.
Further analyzing Belal’s victories, out of his 23 wins, 17 were via decision. He holds the record for the most unanimous decision wins in UFC Welterweight division history and the second-most when it comes to UFC history. These records further add to Belal’s “boring” factor. However, his capacity to achieve a result makes many fans believe that he is not far away from a title shot.
Belal Muhammad believes he has haters because he is doing something right
Belal is aware of the hate he receives from many fans on social media. The UFC fighter nicknamed ‘Remember the Name’, has even received hate for his nickname.
In an April 2022 interview, Belal aimed at Colby Covington and Conor McGregor fans. He told ESPN MMA‘s Marc Raimondi, “You know, as they say, if you don’t got haters you’re not doing it right. I think a lot of that comes from just like attacking the McGregor fans, the Colby fans. You know, they got a bunch of nerd losers that follow them, that love to spew hate. They wake up every day and just look to say negative things.”
A few weeks before this interview, Belal got into a back-and-forth with McGregor on X. However, nothing came out of it.
Belal has not let the hate from fans get into his head. He has continued to grind out results the way he wants to and is climbing the ladder toward the UFC Welterweight title.
