Wimbledon

With each passing day, Wimbledon is getting more and more intense. While many top seeds have exited the tournament, the unseeded players have surprised everyone with their superior playing.

Day 6 of Wimbledon has some exciting matches in store. Here are the important matches for today and the predictions for it.

Rafael Nadal vs Lorenzo Sonego

The King of Clay is also a master of grass. However, 27 seed Lorenzo Sonego has impressed everyone with his play so far. On the other hand, Nadal has dropped one set each in both the rounds that he has played so far.

Even then, Nadal is the favorite to win the match because of his experience. Moreover, it can be intimidating for Sonego to play a star-like Nadal, and that too in Centre Court.

Nick Kyrgios vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

This is probably the first mouth-watering clash in men’s singles at Wimbledon. Both Tsitsipas and Kyrgios are playing excellent tennis and are looking in fine form ahead of the third-round match.

The biggest clash of Wimbledon so far?

In all honesty, the odds are divided equally between the two players. If you look at the head-to-head record, Kyrgios comes out on top. However, Tsitsipas has been more consistent with his performance in the tournament and we think he has a better chance to make it to the next round.

Iga Swiatek vs Alize Cornet

Alize Cornet is playing tremendously in this year’s Wimbledon and it is her bad luck that she is facing Iga Swiatek in the third round. The world number one is currently in the form of her life and is currently on a winning streak.

Hands down, Swiatek is the hot favorite to win this match and march forward to the next round. She has made little to no mistake so far and there is no reason to believe she will make one in her match against Cornet.

Coco Gauff vs Amanda Anisimova

Both the American players are seeded at Wimbledon this year and are hitting the ball really well. It is another tight match of Day 6 and might end up as a neck-to-neck fight.

From the looks of it, we are placing out bets on Coco Gauff as she is carrying the momentum of her amazing French Open run. While Amanda has an equally good chance, Gauff has the aggression and mental strength of someone like Serena Williams.
