Dwayne Johnson is among the richest celebrities in the world. His net worth in 2023 is estimated to be around $800 Million and he’s on the way to becoming a billionaire.
In order to reach the peak, Johnson has a number of different sources of income. From businesses and endorsements to investment, The Rock has always shown that he’s an extremely successful businessman.
However, Dwayne Johnson has also tried his luck in the NFL. However, he didn’t have a good time there as he got rejected in the NFL Draft. The former WWE Champion doesn’t own the NFL. He also doesn’t own any teams in the National Football League.
However, he is a co-owner of an entirely different football league, the XFL. The Rock purchased the XFL and its assets for roughly $15 million in August 2020, after its former ownership entity, which was led by Vince McMahon declared bankruptcy.
Dwayne, Dany Garcia, and Gerry Cardinale are the co-owners of the spring football league. The last season of the league took place in 2020, which failed miserably following a number of factors, such as the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and a lack of funds.
After a three-year hiatus, the league has made its comeback, and it’s expected to achieve success, unlike its earlier editions. Nevertheless, the People’s Champion has been the main attraction for the minor football league.
A few other ventures owned by the Rock are Teremana Tequila, Seven Bucks Productions, Zoa Energy, Acorns, Athleticon, Project Rock, and Salt and Straw.
How much did Dwayne Johnson earn during his time in WWE?
During the Attitude Era, The Rock was among the biggest names in the promotion. Feuds with the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Mankind helped WWE get several top superstars that led the promotion for another decade.

However, The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment made his last appearance for the company in October 2019. Since then, his return has been heavily rumored a couple of times but he still hasn’t made his comeback.
It’s highly unlikely that he’ll sign a new contract with the promotion, but he can make a one-off appearance for WWE. However, if he somehow signs a deal, the promotion will surely offer him a handsome sum of money, more than he used to earn in his previous contract. According to his salary clause in 2013, he used to earn $5 million in WWE.
