Dwayne Johnson is undoubtedly one of the most charismatic stars to have ever graced the silver screen. His shiny bald head has become a style statement for him and has been associated with him for the past several years. While many thought that it was because The Rock was going bald, he once revealed a hilarious reason behind being bald.
The Brahma Bull is a WWE legend and has been one of the greatest ever to have stepped foot inside the squared circle. Johnson was one of the company’s biggest phenomena during the Attitude Era and helped to shape the current landscape of the company alongside other legends such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker. He won the WWE Championship an astonishing eight times and also won the tag team titles five times, among many other accolades.
Why I luv GIFs. I’m not bald because I went bald. I’m bald because my hair is a cross between an afro and hair from a Lama’s ball sac. #TheU https://t.co/E1Wlk3Tqov

However, one question that has always bugged the fans is why Dwayne Johnson went bald. The Rock once revealed the reason behind this in a tweet in 2017. Replying to a GIF about football, Dwayne Johnson noted that he did not go bald because he started losing hair but decided to lose his hair because, according to him, his hair is a cross “between an afro and hair from a Lama’s ball sac.”
The Rock has not appeared in WWE in seven years, with his last match coming at WrestleMania 32. He remains one of the most popular stars to this day, despite leaving the company to pursue his Hollywood dreams in 2004.
How did Dwayne Johnson look with his hair?
Despite many fans not remembering Dwayne Johnson with his hair, the Hollywood megastar debuted with his hair intact. The Rock made his WWE debut in 1996 as Rocky Maivia and was touted as the first third-generation wrestler in WWE history. Dwayne Johnson was nicknamed the Blue Chipper.
Despite being a babyface and having a full head of hair, Johnson did not initially get over the fans. He won the Intercontinental Title from Triple H in 1997 and then went on to make his WrestleMania debut in the 13th iteration of the show. However, in April 1997, he injured his knee and was sidelined from action for several months.
Upon his return, Dwayne Johnson turned heel and lashed out at fans for being unsupportive of him. He then formed the Nation of Domination stable and also called himself The Rock. At that time, he also sported a buzz cut and lost his medium-length hair. Dwayne then went bald in the subsequent years and has persisted with the hairstyle, or lack thereof.
