WWE Hall of Famer Edge during his WWE career has had several on-screen relationships. Fans are familiar with his love story with Lita and Vicky Guerrero during his run as the company’s top heel. The veteran who has the nickname Rated R Superstar has had his fair share of R-Rated moments during his WWE career.
Outside the ring, Edge had a similar love life in his personal life as well. He married Alannah Morley in 2001 and after three years the couple got divorced. He then married Lisa Ortiz in 2004 but their relationship fell apart after Edge cheated on her with WWE star Lita. Edge’s relationship with Lita also didn’t last long.
The former WWE champion admitted that he never expected to find love in the WWE again but he was proven wrong. Edge met the love of his life Beth Phoenix after he announced his retirement from the company in 2011. In an episode of the WWE 24 documentary, the WWE legend opened up about how he ended up meeting his wife. He revealed that despite working on the same roster for years, the two superstars never got the chance to meet.
“So, Beth and I started dating after we connected here [Scotiabank Arena in Toronto] on the day of Edge Appreciation. It was so crazy. We were cordial to each other, but we didn’t know each other. That day, we started talking. ‘I had no idea that you trained at the same gym as me by the same people. And, that you wrestled at the same dive bars just seven years after me.” He said. After dating for over five years Edge and Phoenix finally tied the knot. The couple got married on October 30, 2016, on the day of his 43rd birthday.

Edge in an old interview with WWE.com praised Beth for her role as a wife and as a parent while the couple was expecting their second child.
“Beth has been, somehow, chasing around a two-year-and-four-month-old, taking care of four dogs, maintaining the household and getting a master’s degree in forensic psychology, all at the same time, while I go and act like a moron with my lifelong best friend. It’s a partnership — it has to be, in order to juggle everything. Fortunately, I’ve got a pillar, so I can go and do the show knowing that everything at home is A-OK. It’s been an interesting ride over the past few months.” he said. (H/T: WWE.com)
The real-life husband and wife also got the opportunity to wrestle in the WWE as a tag team. Their first mixed tag match was at Royal Rumble 2022 when they defeated another real-life WWE couple, The Miz and Maryse. Their second match as a team happened at Elimination Chamber 2023 where the couple defeated Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor.
It’ll be interesting to see if the couple will ever team up in the WWE again. Fans feel that despite passing their prime years, both stars are still in incredible shape and can contribute massively to the current WWE product.
