Multiple love stories have made their way into the world of professional wrestling and one such was of Cody Rhodes. ‘The American Nightmare’ found the love of his life in Brandi Rhodes, a WWE ring announcer. Thanks to WWE for playing the matchmaker for yet another WWE Superstar.
The duo of Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes has been one of the most talked about love affairs since the early 2010s. Brandi had just signed with the WWE and Cody was suddenly fascinated by the new ring announcer. While Brandi wanted to focus on her professional life only, Cody’s efforts made her give in.
“It probably took around a month for me to go out with him, and after that, the rest is as they say history because I feel that we ended up spending every day together after that,” said Brandi. Cody already had a strong liking for her and it didn’t remain hidden from the locker room too. Everyone in the company could sense a budding romance between the two.
It took a few more dates for both of them to realize that they had found her soulmate. Horror has interested Brandi Rhodes at all times. The Halloween Horror Night at Universal Studios had been a place on her checklist. Talking to Sports Illustrated, she disclosed that no one was interested to accompany her to the place. However, it was Cody who proposed to her to visit the same. It was enough for her to realize that Cody Rhodes is her “dream man.”
Cody Rhodes too released his love for Brandy in a rather peculiar place. Disclosing this on his panel with Excalibur and The Young Bucks at C2E2, he disclosed the place to be a parking lot. As the two hugged, Brandi whispered something into Cody Rhodes’ ear. At that moment, he realized that Brandi Rhodes was the one.

Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes had found their true love during their run in WWE. After realizing their true feelings for each other, the duo tied the knot on September 12, 2013. All their family members and friends had graced the occasion and made it memorable for the couple. On 18th June 2021, the two became parents to a girl named – Liberty Iris Runnels.

Brandi Rhodes has proved to be a great supporter of Cody Rhodes and his family at large. Her relationship with Dusty Rhodes (Cody Rhodes’ father) has been incredible and she was seen walking along with him on multiple occasions. She walked him down the ring during his WWE Hall Of Fame induction. Additionally, she also took the responsibility of breaking out the cause of Dusty’s death to the WWE Universe.
