WWE Superstar The Miz has been an all-around phenomenon when it comes to the entertainment industry. Nicknamed The A-Lister, the two-time Grand Slam champion has made a name for himself with his exceptional promo skills. A tenured veteran inside the square circle, Miz has also forayed into acting and entertainment with great success.
After starting his career as part of The Real World in 2001, The A-Lister has made several appearances on the silver screen as part of shows such as Dancing with the Stars and Miz & Mrs and movies such as The Marine franchise. While his WWE career has grown over the years since his debut via the Tough Enough show, his entertainment career has also blossomed.
It is because of The Miz’s ever-growing popularity as a performer that fans were disappointed when he was not rumored to be cast as Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat 2. The sequel to the action-adventure was greenlit last year after the success of Mortal Combat, with speculation rife as to who will play the role of the popular character Johnny Cage. Recent reports have revealed that the role may go to Star Trek star Karl Urban.
The revelation of the report has left several fans disappointed, with many wondering why the role didn’t go to The Miz. Netizens were of the opinion that The A-Lister’s character in WWE is much like Johnny Cage’s, and he would have been a perfect fit.

The Miz has an astounding legacy in WWE
Since his on-screen debut in 2006, The A-Lister has donned several hats for the company. He was the host of the annual Diva Search competition and acted as a backstage interviewer. However, after foraying into an on-screen role, the star did not have to look back. He remained undefeated for the first few months as a heel and took out superstars such as Matt Hardy and Scotty 2 Hotty. His streak was ultimately ended by The Boogeyman.
The Grand Slam Champion has won everything there is to win in WWE. His first world title reign came via the WWE Championship when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Randy Orton on a November episode of RAW in 2010. Before his world title win, The Miz was also part of a tag team championship-winning team with John Morrison and a United States Champion.

The A-Lister’s second world title reign came in 2021 when he once again cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, this time on Drew McIntyre. During an illustrious 17-year career in WWE, the former world champion has won the WWE Championship twice, the tag team titles eight times, the United States Title twice, and the Intercontinental Championship eight times. It remains to be seen what other accolades The Miz will win before hanging up his boots.
