Grammy-winning music star Bad Bunny’s stint with WWE has garnered major plaudits from fans and critics alike. At Backlash 2023, he faced Damian Priest in Puerto Rico, his birthplace. Despite coming out victorious, Bunny claims that he thought he was “going to die” after the bout.
Bad Bunny’s journey with WWE started ahead of WrestleMania 37 when he appeared a few weeks before the show to set up his tag team match alongside Damian Priest against The Miz and John Morrison. He also won the 24/7 Championship from Akira Tozawa. The international music sensation competed once again at the Royal Rumble last year and was also there at WrestleMania 39, where he hindered Dominik Mysterio’s plans, allowing Rey Mysterio to win.

On Raw following ‘Mania, Bunny was put through a table by Priest. He vowed to take revenge in a San Juan Street Fight at Backlash. The intense action saw the likes of Savio Vega and the LWO assist Bad Bunny in winning against Priest and The Judgment Day. Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music (via Insider), Bunny stated that he was “hurt” during the match. The music artist added that his whole body hurt, and he thought he was “going to die.” The Grammy-winner concluded by saying that the experience of Backlash was “insane.”
“My back. Whole body, bro. My whole body. I felt that I was going to die after that match,” he said. “I was really scared about it. I was, ‘Oh no, I’m going to die. I’m going to…'” he added. “I really thought that I was going to die after the match, but it’s part of it. I was prepared, and then, now, I’m going to drop a song. I know. I’m a crazy guy. Wow, that was insane. That was really crazy, the people, the energy was another level. What happened that night, I never going to forget it. I remember that I said before, the ‘WrestleMania’ fight, that day was one of my favorite moment[s] of my life, but the ‘Backlash’ fight in Puerto Rico was another level.”

Bad Bunny has continuously made history by becoming one of the most sensational music artists in the whole world. The 29-year-old is not only the most streamed artist in the world but also a hot property in the world of entertainment.
Is Bad Bunny the best celebrity performer in the history of WWE?
WWE has had its fair share of celebrity performers over the years. From the likes of Mike Tyson and Shaquille O’Neal to YouTube content creator Logan Paul and now Bad Bunny, many have tried their hands at wrestling, but few have been as successful as Bunny. The music sensation has showcased immense talent and has also been one of the best when it comes to doing moves.

Logan Paul has also made a mark in the company thanks to his in-ring skills and sensational matches, but it seems that Bad Bunny is more passionate about the business. He takes the history of the sport seriously and is willing to risk it all in the ring. Both Bad Bunny and Logan are young and have a bright future if they wish to continue their appearances. It remains to be seen when Bunny will appear next.
