Rousey has made several controversial takes about McMahon and the WWE. The whole book is set to be released in the first week of April. However, some excerpts from the book have been revealed by Covalent TV. We will take a look at four of her controversial takes.
Ronda Rousey alleges that Vince McMahon created a pro-wrestling monopoly
Ronda Rousey praised Triple H and claimed he was “one of the better people on the business side.”
Speaking in her autobiography Our Fight, Ronda Rousey let her feelings be known about Vince McMahon

She wrote, Triple H “is married to Stephanie McMahon, who is the daughter of WWE’s Emperor Palpatine, Vince McMahon. Vince took over the company from his father in the early 1980s and spent the better part of forty years playing a real-world pro-wrestling version of Monopoly, buying up and absorbing smaller promotions until he basically owned them all.”
Some of the pro-wrestling promotions that McMahon bought were Georgia Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), Maple Leaf Wrestling, and Stampede Wrestling.
Ronda Rousey alleges that it is difficult to differentiate on-screen and off-screen characters in the WWE
In another excerpt from her book, Rousey used the most degrading adjectives to describe the former WWE CEO.
She wrote, “It’s hard sometimes to know where the evil, unethical, slimeball character of Vince McMahon played out for the cameras ends and the actual questionably ethical, many times sued, and multiple times accused of sexual misconduct Vince McMahon begins. That blurred line between character and reality is a recurring theme within the WWE Universe.”

McMahon has been caught up in a lawsuit filed by ex-WWE employee Janel Grant. The lawsuit alleged that McMahon used her for s*xual favors among other horrible things. After the lawsuit rocked the pro-wrestling community, McMahon resigned from TKO Group Holdings and the WWE.
Rousey slammed WWE’s move to Saudi Arabia
It’s safe to say Ronda Rousey does not have the best reviews for Saudi Arabia. While the whole combat sports industry is moving to the Middle Eastern country, Rousey claims they restrict the rights of women.
She wrote, “[Pay-per-views are] held in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, as well as now twice a year in Saudi Arabia, a nation that restricts the rights of women in a way that I’m certain Vince McMahon wishes he could.”
The first WWE PPV event in Saudi Arabia was the Greatest Royal Rumble event in April 2018. A total of 10 WWE PPV events have been hosted by Saudi Arabia until 2023. Further, the UFC also has plans to conduct an event in Saudi Arabia. PFL and the boxing industry have already moved to the Asian country and it seems like they will keep coming back.
Rousey claimed there was a casting couch culture in the WWE
Ronda Rousey claimed that the women in WWE “have largely been footnotes” and were “an overly sexualized supporting character” Over time she believes the talent of the women made the WWE give the women wrestlers a better status.
She wrote, “WWE bills itself as a sports entertainment organization, and just like in the mainstream entertainment industry, there was, by all accounts, a casting couch culture where men backstage in powerful positions pressured female talent for sexual favors in return for airtime. There were so many public accusations and scandals it’s hard to keep track, and more that I’m sure the WWE managed to sweep under the ring.”
Ronda Rousey states she doesn’t intend to ever return to WWE & calls the company a “shit show”.

With so many controversial opinions from Rousey about the WWE coming out, you would wonder how she would ever make a comeback to the promotion. The clear answer is that she won’t return. She said it during the promotion of her book.
When asked what people will learn from reading the book, “How much of an absolute shit show it is at the WWE because they can’t hold the story over my head and hold me hostage with my own career,” Rousey replied (per Fightful). “I don’t need anything from them and I don’t intend on going back, so I can say everything that I think and feel while everybody else is still held captive by their organization.”
Ronda Rousey began her combat sports career with MMA and was a celebrated UFC Bantamweight Champion. She moved to the WWE later in her career. With WWE and UFC now merged it is unlikely she returns to any of the promotions.
