WWE Superstar Bayley has been out of action since July 2021. The former Smackdown Women’s Champion tore her ACL while training at the WWE Performance Centre ahead of WWE’s return to live touring. Fightful reported that ‘The Role Model’ was chain wrestling as part of the training session when her knee ‘popped’. It was expected that she would be out of action for up to nine months.
However, Bayley recently took to Twitter to tease an Elimination Chamber return as the ‘mystery opponent.’ WWE has announced an Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia to determine the No. 1 contender for Becky Lynch’s WWE RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38. Bayley reacted to this tweet with a knee emoji suggesting her knee was all healed up.

This comes after Bayley gave an update in December regarding her injury during an Instagram Live Video, “Anyway, people are asking how my knee is. So, my knee is doing great, my leg’s doing great, my ankle’s doing great, my shin is doing great, my hip is doing great, my mind is doing great… so, I mean it’s only a matter of time.” It’s also important to note that Dave Meltzer recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bayley was among the names expected to return in time for WrestleMania 38.
Bayley does not get the credit she deserves: Bianca Belair
Back in September, Bianca Belair spoke to Gary Cassidy of Inside the Ropes. During the interview she heaped praises on Bayley, calling her a locker room leader, and felt that she does not get the credit she deserves. She says, “She’s so creative. She’s so fun to work with, and that’s why I was so like, “Oh,” when she got injured before the I Quit Match. I will say this about Bayley. She’s a locker room leader, and she’s one of the Four Horsewomen that I feel like doesn’t get as much credit as she should because she always rises to the occasion, but she always makes you, the person that she works with, she brings them up with her as well.”
Bayley has not been seen on WWE TV since her injury. She was one of the best performers during the WWE Thunderdome Era. We hope ‘The Role Model’ returns to in-ring action soon!
