Big E, Big E, Big E. It’s hard to fathom that just over a month ago the new day member was the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Big E went on a fantastic run with the belt before he had the rug pulled out from under him. Brock Lesnar was inserted into the WWE Championship match on Day 1 and just like that Big E’s run was over.
Since then, the WWE title has changed hands once more and is currently held by The All Mighty Bobby Lashley. One is left to wonder what was the point of taking the belt off Big E. Since then the former WWE Champion’s trajectory has gone downhill. He had an unexpected showing at the Rumble, which many tipped him to win, and has gone back to Smackdown. Last week he teamed up with Kofi Kingston to defeat Los Lotharios in a tag team match. Needless to say, the return to The Big Day means, WWE isn’t too sure about pushing Big E as a singles’ superstar anymore.
Combat Sport’s Andreas Hale took to Twitter to express his disappointment over Big E’s treatment by WWE. He Tweets, ‘It sucks that it’s come to this. My brother deserves to be valued. He’s gone above and beyond with his reign in the spotlight. Period. Still MY (and many others) champion @WWEBigE. Fix it @WWE.’
Andreas Hale further adds in his subtweet that Big E is once in a lifetime talent. He has been fantastic as a champ outside the ring. He has broadened the culture and helped redefine what it is to be a black wrestler.

Backstage upset over WWE’s treatment of Big E
Wade Keller on a recent PWTorch VIP audio reported that the morale in the WWE locker room is at an all-time low and one point of concern is Big E and his treatment. Keller reports, “I’ve asked around, and all I’ve gotten is people who are upset, you know, with the rug being pulled out from under him, and I haven’t heard anything about there being an awareness of an issue with him and I think the people I have asked would know.”
Kelly further adds, “I mean, one person just described him as a magnificent human being who doesn’t deserve this treatment.”
Do you think WWE has messed up Big E’s singles run? Will the former champ ever recover from this?
