Roman Reigns is poised to become the Greatest Champion in WWE History. The Tribal Chief hasn’t relinquished control of the Universal Championship since he won it on August 30th, 2020. Reigns has dominated Friday Nights like an old-school champion with a modern work ethic. And according his Special Counsel, he has already exceeded his predecessors in terms of both popularity and relevance.
Reigns is on the run of a lifetime
To be fair to the Wiseman, no one has had an answer for the Head of the Table. Roman Reigns has completed nearly 2 years with the Universal Championship draped across his shoulder.
Soon…I’ll be the only ICON.
537 days. History.
Longest reign in 30 years. History.
An unstoppable main event run. History.Witness it. Respect it. Acknowledge it. #History#WWEChamber @peacockTV

His now-544-day reign is the longest title run in the last 30 years of WWE programming, and no one has even come close to cutting it short; not even Goldberg. In 2019, Roman Reigns was a failing experiment. In 2022, he is a legitimate draw. WWE has been trying to make Roman “The Guy” for years now, and it looks like they have the chance to make that official come WrestleMania 38.
Paul Heyman compares Lesnar vs Reigns to all-time great WWE feuds
Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock at WrestleMania X7. These matches are pivotal to the history of WWE. And now, they’re looking to add Reigns vs Lesnar to that pantheon of Era-Defining Rivalries.

The pair have faced each other at The Grandest Stage of Them All twice already. Their ‘Mania 31 match was the site of the Heist of the Century, and the lesser we talk about the ‘Mania 34 match, the better.
With the 3rd installment of their WrestleMania trilogy coming up in 5 weeks, Reigns finally has the chance to put the chatter to rest, once and for all. After he unifies the WWE and Universal Championships, the Tribal Chief will be the only Undisputed Champion in the company; and that’s not a prediction, that’s a spoiler.
