In a similar fashion, The Rock took shots at The American Nightmare on Friday Night SmackDown. But Cody has finally responded to Dwayne on the March 18 episode of Monday Night RAW. In his promo for the red brand, Rhodes said a lot of things, some of which were of such a kind that no one really expected them from a babyface like Cody Rhodes.
The 6-foot-2 in-ring star said, “Rock I don’t think you’re a heel. I think you’re an as*hole.” After this, Rhodes said that The Rock manipulated TKO into putting him in the WrestleMania 40 main event, as he cried to the group when things didn’t go his way for The Showcase of the Immortals. The 38-year-old also called Dwayne Johnson a “whiny b*tch.”

Rhodes admitted that he doesn’t know if he’ll finish his story, but questioned if The Rock will have “little d*** syndrome” when the bell rings on night one of WrestleMania. Involving Roman Reigns, Cody called The Brahma Reigns’ “little side chick.” All in all, the segment was memorable, and it remains to be seen if Johnson responds to this promo or not.

In fact, The Brahma Bull brought back his iconic “Rock Concert” during the show to roast Cody Rhodes. The Hollywood star didn’t hold back from once again talking about the 38-year-old, calling him a mistake. In addition to this, Dwayne also brought up Rhodes’ mother in his promo.
The People’s Champion promised that he’s going to make Cody bleed at this year’s WrestleMania. Johnson added that when he hands Cody’s mother his bloody weight belt, he will say, “What can I say, expect you’re welcome.” Such remarks by the actor were probably what made The American Nightmare furious enough to cut a passionate promo on WWE RAW.
Is this storyline building-up for a match between Cody Rhodes and The Rock?
Amid the kind of importance the angle between Cody Rhodes and The Rock has been getting over the past few weeks, it has probably overshadowed Cody’s match against Roman Reigns. Moreover, a lot of people wonder if this storyline is a build-up for a match between Rhodes and Dwayne in the near future.
In this regard, it’s important to point out that the belief as of now is that The American Nightmare will most probably win at WrestleMania 40. But the thing that’s equally rumored is that The People’s Champion may have an important role in it.
