What did Dave Bautista have to say about his belt?
Bautista has been training at Cesar’s Jiu-Jitsu gym since as far back as 2010. And he has earned his brown belt, one of the highest-ranking belts in BJJ. Hence, the former WWE world heavyweight champion showed his sincere gratitude towards the organization.
“Very proud to be posting this. I started training BJJ with @cesargraciebjj @graciefighterph in 2010 and even though I got my A** handed to me by everyone at the academy, I immediately fell in love. It’s a puzzle I’ll never solve and if you know me, you know I get obsessed with things I can’t figure out.”

The Hollywood sensation also further expressed how challenging the journey has been pertaining to his work schedules. His commitments to Marvel and the Guardians of The Galaxy since 2014 have kept him busy.
“It’s been a challenging process with my work schedule, in fact, I barely trained from 2014 when I got my purple belt to 2021. Last fall I dedicated myself to progressing and this week it finally happened.”
Cesar’s Gym has a reputation for training some of the best faces in the industry. The ‘Diaz brothers’ Nate Diaz and Nick Diaz have trained at the institute. Along with them, the institute has also trained Jake Sheilds since 2010.
