While this completely caught the WWE Universe off guard, many also debated that this act might not be staged. Throughout the press conference, Dwayne Johnson received a lot of heat from the crowd. His reaction was visibly frustrated, which made fans think that his slapping Rhodes was not scripted. On the other hand, many have applauded The Rock and Cody Rhodes for pulling off this act so realistically.
