Triple H has been at the helm of WWE creative since Vince McMahon‘s retirement last year. The wrestling legend took on the role of Chief Content Officer and revamped the booking in the company, something that had gotten much flak under the McMahon regime’s latter stages.
Triple H’s booking got rave reviews from around the world and even saw The Bloodline saga involving Roman Reigns escalate to new heights and make for the best storytelling in several years.
However, even though he retired a year ago, Vince McMahon decided to stage a sensational comeback as the Executive Chairman of the company earlier this year. While he initially stated that he would not be partaking in any creative duties and would only oversee the sale of the company, that has not turned out to be the case.
Despite WWE being sold to Endeavor in April this year, McMahon decided to stay on. He reportedly altered several aspects of Triple H and his team’s booking on the RAW after WrestleMania 39 in a move that did not sit well with fans. Since then, this has become a regular aspect of Raw and SmackDown as the former CEO makes changes to booking either remotely or backstage.
More Vince McMahon changes tonight — this time remotely, which has become the standard. Pretty much a non-update at this point, but we have more at https://t.co/jy8u4a7WDa if you’re interested.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, this was once again the case for the latest episode of Raw. McMahon reportedly made several changes to the show, with word reaching the talent ahead of the start of the program. It has also been stated that it is commonplace at this point and that it will continue into the foreseeable future.
McMahon has decided to keep a stranglehold on proceeding despite the reins of creative going to Triple H earlier this year. Over the past few weeks, RAW and SmackDown have been exceptionally well received, with new titles introduced in both brands and the women’s titles being renamed.
Backstage reasons behind Triple H making the women’s titles look similar to the men’s titles
On the latest episode of Raw, Triple H introduced another title to the company. Rhea Ripley‘s SmackDown Women’s Title was replaced with the Women’s World Championship. The title looked similar to the newly minted Men’s World Heavyweight Title currently held by Seth Rollins.
Asuka was also presented with a WWE Women’s Championship, which looks similar to the Undisputed WWE Universal Title currently wrapped around Roman Reigns’ waist.
According to Sean Ross Sapp, the two women’s titles have been made similar to the men’s titles to showcase that the female superstars in the company are “on par” with the men.
I was told that much like the previous iterations of the women’s titles in WWE, the new ones were made to look like the WWE Universal and World Heavyweight Titles to feel and look “on par” with one another pic.twitter.com/3RpAoVg65F

Triple H has taken an active stance in making the women’s division seem more active and important. The change in titles, combined with the booking of the women, seems to indicate that the future is bright for the company.
