It’s been a wonderful 4 days in the life of WWE Superstar Bianca Belair. The EST of WWE won the women’s Elimination Chamber match to become the No. 1 contender for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship. She will face Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 for her title shot.
Unsurprisingly, last night on Monday Night RAW, Bianca Belair came face to face with The Man to hype up their WrestleMania 38 match. The challenger and the champion then engaged in a heated battle of words. Shots were fired from both ends, but it all came to a head towards the end. Becky Lynch reminded Belair, “The only reason you were able to main event WrestleMania was because I did it First,” referring to her WrestleMania 35 main-event with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
Bianca was though unfazed by this and instead replied, “You might have done it first but I did it better!” The former SmackDown Women’s champion has since taken to Twitter to back up her claims. In retweeting WWE’s tweet about the same promo, Belair writes, “I said what I said.”

This has sent the WWE Universe into a frenzy. The two main events in question have found their advocates but…
Which WrestleMania main-event was better?
Becky Lynch defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to become Becky Two Belts in the first-ever Women’s main-event in WrestleMania history at the 35th edition of the show. Last year, at WrestleMania 37 Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks to become the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion. Unfortunately for the EST, The Man returned to WWE later that year at SummerSlam and defeated Belair in 26 seconds to take away her title.
To answer the above question, we will compare the two WrestleMania main events based on the following criteria – Drawing Power, Match Quality, and The Fallout.
Drawing Power
While Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks are big names in their own right, we can’t help but give this criterion to Becky Lynch. The Man, The Queen, and The Baddest Woman on the planet worked together to create history that day. WrestleMania 35’s main event is proof that the Women’s revolution in WWE was a success. These 3 are perhaps the biggest superstars in the Women’s division, and even as a whole.
Becky Lynch’s rise to superstardom, Ronda Rousey’s global appeal, and Charlotte Flair’s aura all contributed to making it perhaps the biggest match in Women’s wrestling history. Therefore, when it comes to drawing power it is Becky Lynch 1-0 Bianca Belair.
Match Quality
The hype surrounding WrestleMania 35’s main event was gung-ho, to say the least. Fans’ expectations were high. However, the match ultimately left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth. When you have Lynch, Ronda, and Flair in one ring, many would expect it to be the best match of the night or perhaps even the year. Alas, it was not to be. The trio never found any cohesion within them and the botched finish at the end only added to the misery.
In stark contrast, Bianca Belair vs Sasha Backs at WrestleMania 37 was spectacular. The duo won an ESPY award for the Best WWE moment of the year. The EST and The Boss gave us a high-quality match, worthy of a WrestleMania main event. Therefore, after considering the match quality it is Becky Lynch 1-1 Bianca Belair.
Congratulations to @SashaBanksWWE and @BiancaBelairWWE on winning the @ESPY for @WWE Moment of the Year for their #WrestleMania main event. Incredible moment for them, for our business and the #WWE Universe!!!! https://t.co/yUkbNNdANN

The Fallout
WrestleMania moments and main events are only successful if the fallout from that is sustainable. A performer is thrust into the spotlight because WWE needs them to carry the main-event picture for years down the line. WrestleMania 35 made Becky Lynch the biggest talking point in the wrestling industry. Her meteoric rise led her to write history that day.
After the event, The Man became one of the biggest attractions of any WWE programming. Becky Two Belts is now Big Time Becky and deservedly so. The Man relinquished her title to become The Mom but since her return and even before that she has been at top of the Women’s division for 3 years now.
Bianca Belair on the other hand developed a cult following after her main event. However, she would not scale the heights Lynch did post-Mania. Lack of challengers, terrible storylines, and booking choices saw Belair lose her championship only a few months later, and that too in an embarrassing fashion. The jury is still out on Bianca’s WWE career, dethroning Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 could be her defining moment, but for the time being, we have to give an edge to the main event of WrestleMania 35. Becky Lynch 2-1 Bianca Belair.
The most STUPENDOUS WrestleMania in history is just over a month away. Which main event was better in your eyes? Who will walk out of WrestleMania 38 as the WWE RAW Women’s Champion?
