Matthew Thomas Riddle is one of the few wrestlers within WWE who has also been in MMA. He is one of the funniest personalities but inside the ring, he is a beast. In late December of 2020, Riddle signed a new contract with WWE. According to the new contract, we will be able to see a lot more of Riddle at least for the next couple of years. Matt Riddle’s latest WWE contract
The leader of the ‘Bro-Nation”s initial WWE contract was coming to an end in 2020. He made the choice of extending his stay with the company. So he signed a new contract for a much sweeter deal. The contract was for the time period of 2021 to 2023. Riddle is getting paid an annual salary of $400,000. He also gets a $50,000 bonus for every time he competes in Saudi Arabia. Besides this Matt earns from his merchandise sales, meet & greets and doing interviews etc.
The Stallion’s contract expires in 2023. He is exceptional inside the ring and the WWE Universe love him for that. Riddle is one of the most successful superstars on the roster. As fans, we can expect WWE to offer him a new contract when this expires in December 2023.
Riddle’s rise on the main roster
The Original Bro made his main roster debut during the pandemic. He faced AJ Styles in his first match and emerged the victor. In his two-year run, he has been a 1-time WWE United States Champion and a 1-time Raw Tag Team Champion. His accomplishments as a champion aside, the Stallion has been one of the best parts of Raw.
For almost a year, Raw was very difficult to watch. The show was only filled with repetitive matches and not-so interesting feuds. Only 4 people were making the show work, and they were Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, MVP and Riddle. The Stallion tried his absolute best to keep the product fresh. His non-stop comedy during promos are all just comic gems. Beyond that, he showcases his technical prowess in the ring and all his matches have been absolute treats to watch.
The above mentioned reason is why I am more than certain that he will be receiving a much more hefty contract in 2023.
