During the red carpet for the 2023 Academy Awards, Kevin Hart spoke to Variety and revealed what the duo has in store for their fans. Kevin mentioned that he and Dwayne Johnson have been in talks for Jumanji 4. While the update was positive for many fans across the globe, it also hinted at a possible end to the franchise.

“We’re going to have to do it soon. I talked to [Dwayne Johnson] the day before yesterday. Right now, we got the ball rolling on some big ideas,” said Kevin Hart. he also called it to be a “final chapter” for the sequel. The plan is yet to be finalized but the little update came as a thud for the fans.
The last part of the series – Jumanji: The Next Level revolved around the characters in the video game. The post-credit scene of the movie hinted at the introduction of animals resembling a lot with the first-ever piece of the series. This pitches in the idea of closure of the series in the most perfect manner.

Speaking to Collider, renowned producer Hiram Garcia, back in 2022, also hinted at the movie production. “Jumanji is definitely going to happen. Obviously, Jake Kasdan is directing ‘Red One’, so right now he’s working on that. But we have a ton of Jumanji conversations,” he said. Garcia also claimed that the movie would start once the cast is free from their ongoing projects.
With such great minds being put forward for the movie, the project is sure to be successful. “Sometime after Red One, Jumanji’s going to be on deck once it’s ready to go, and we have a really big vision for that movie,” added Garcia. With the Jumanji sequel finding its conclusion, the team will ensure to give it the best possible end.
