It must be noted that The Viper said this while sharing a video clip of the Triple H-led promotion’s brand new show, WWE Rivals. As the latest episode of the series features the rivalry between Randy and The Cenation Leader, Orton posted about it and revealed how Cena was one of his all-time favorite rivals in the company.
Do Randy Orton and John Cena hate each other in real life?
As The Legend Killer revealed that John was one of his greatest rivals in WWE, a lot of people have been wondering if they hate each other in real life. In this regard, it must be noted that Randy Orton and John Cena are great friends and have a lot of respect for each other as performers.
Their friendship started back in the early 2000’s when they were at Ohio Valley Wrestling, and it’s been over two decades since they’ve been at the top of the industry. The Viper has even gone out of his character to praise the 16-time World Champion and credit him a lot for the success he has achieved in the industry.
Not just Orton, even The Cenation Leader has a lot of respect for the journey they’ve shared as professional wrestlers. As both of them have been pretty vocal about each other’s contributions to the Triple H-led promotion, it shows that they love each other and have a great bond.
Randy Orton wants to fight John Cena in a WrestleMania match
Despite their off-screen friendship, the thing the WWE Universe remembers the duo for is their feud in the Triple H-led promotion. Moreover, it seems like Randy Orton is also aware of it, as he recently revealed that he wants to fight John Cena in a one-on-one match at WrestleMania.
In fact, The Viper stated that this is probably the one dream match he wants to have before he retires from professional wrestling. The veteran shared this in a January 2024 episode of WWE’s The Bump, as he discussed a potential reign with the world title in the near future.
While talking on this topic, the legend stated that facing The Cenation Leader at The Showcase of the Immortals for the gold would be a dream scenario. The 14-time World Champion said, “A dream match for me would be to somehow find myself in a situation where I’m fighting Cena at WrestleMania for the title.”

In addition to this, Orton also brought up the fact that it is probably something the WWE Universe also wants. These comments surely make a lot of sense, as John and Randy have been the biggest names in the promotion for decades, and them going up against each other for a final time would surely be a generational moment. But will the Triple H-led promotion give fans this feud? Only time knows the answer to this question.
