Ronda Rousey, the baddest woman on this planet was last seen in the main event of WrestleMania 35. The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion lost her title to Becky Lynch in a match that also involved Charlotte Flair. Rousey left WWE shortly thereafter to build a family. Since then the WWE Universe has been clamoring for her return.

Several reports emerged earlier this week that Ronda was set to return at WWE Royal Rumble 2022. According to Fightul, Ronda’s reappearance “has been talked internally to the point where it’s been dubbed a ‘poorly kept secret,’ and it has been mentioned to outside talent. Ronda’s name was mentioned as a possible Royal Rumble contestant or at the very least, to have some engagement in the Rumble. However, her involvement beyond that is unknown.”
In the meantime current, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has put more fire in the situation. She recently tweeted, ‘Was wondering if you’d show up again. I’ve still got her and she’s doing great.’ Could a match between The Man and The Baddest Woman on the planet finally come to fruition?

What are the latest updates around Ronda Rousey’s return?
Rousey’s return is going to happen if the reports are to be believed. The current plan is to have a WrestleMania 38 match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. WWE is looking to bring back Rousey as a regular on Smackdown. However, she won’t be involved in a feud with the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. She is also expected to work some RAW shows including the RAW after Royal Rumble.
Regarding her contract status with WWE, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer revealed that Ronda is under contract with the promotion at the moment. Though he couldn’t report whether she has signed a new deal, “Either a new deal was put together or WWE froze her three-year deal since she really only worked the first year and a few months of it.”
Rousey originally took time away from WWE so that she could build her family. She and her husband Travis Browne welcomed their first child together back in late September, a daughter named La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne.
