We are just hours away from this year’s Royal Rumble. One of the most anticipated matches at this year’s Rumble is that of Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Last night’s Smackdown was the final time the former Shield brothers came face to face and a war of words ensued.
At the end of the show The Big Dog walked out first to cut a promo in the ring. As we has going to speak, The Visionary made his entrance. Seth starts off by mentioning his victory over The Usos and how embarrassed did Regins feel when he pinned his cousins. The former Beast Slayer then goes onto say that Reigns brings shame to his family more than anyone.
Seth continues by referencing significant events that have occurred between him and Regins in the past. The most famous Money in the Bank cash in of all time, or when he came back from his knee injury and in his first match sent The Tribal Chief on a 30 day vacation. Seth adds or if he remembers the steel chair. The one that he crashed into Roman’s back and sent him on his way to superstardom. Reigns should thank him for that.
The Visionary tells Reigns that when he takes the title from him at Rumble it will be nothing personal. He loves Roman like a brother. Roman then responds, “I’ll never forgive you for what you did to us.” referencing to Seth’s actions breaking up the Shield. The Head of the Table adds that he hates Rollins.

The showdown ends when Seth says Reigns, his family, his bloodline and his title reign is all a big joke. Reigns pushes Rollins and goes for a Superman Punch. However, Seth slides out of the ring.
What can’t Roman Reigns forgive Seth Rollins for?
For the uninitiated, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are megastars in their own right. They are embroiled in a feud right now but it was not so long ago that Reigns and Rollins were brothers in arms. The two championship contenders made their WWE debut together as part of the popular stable ‘The Shield’ along with a certain someone named Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley).
The trio were fan favorites and dominated WWE in their time together. In 2014, The Shield was involved in a feud against the legendary faction The Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista). On June 2, 2014 episode of Monday Night RAW the unthinkable happened. The trio were in the ring bracing for a brawl with Triple H and Randy Orton who were walking down the ramp. However, in a shocking turn of events Rollins grabbed a steel chair and crashed it into the back of Roman Regins.
The history between Roman Regins and Seth Rollins dates back years and both of them are friends off screen. Who do you think will come out as the WWE Universal Champion after the Royal Rumble?
