John Cena is one of the superstars that WWE is trying to bring back as it aims to fill WrestleMania 39. Cena is expected to compete in WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles, as reported earlier by WrestleVotes, although it is unknown who he’ll face.

According to Xero News, WWE is already discussing a number of opponents for him to face in a match at WrestleMania 39, including Logan Paul, LA Knight, and Austin Theory. According to additional reports, John Cena facing Logan Paul in a match is the most probable scenario, with the LA Knight storyline second on the list.
Logan Paul’s wish for Triple H to give him the gift of a WrestleMania fight on his birthday, April 1, hinted at the possibility of a match between Cena and Paul.
Logan Paul wants to face John Cena next
Logan Paul has made it very clear that he wants to face John Cena at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles. Paul revealed to have texted Triple H about possibly facing John Cena on the grandest stage of them all on a recent episode on a podcast with RingsideNews.com.
Logan said, “After Crown Jewel, John Cena posted me on his Instagram, and then I saw an article saying he’s looking for an opponent at WrestleMania. I favorited it and responded with my eyes. Truthfully, I think me vs. John Cena would break the internet.”
Logan continued, “I texted Triple H right away, ‘do you want to break the internet again?’ That’s a dream match. WrestleMania, in LA, on my birthday. Triple H, throw me a bone, give me a birthday present, and let me take out John Cena. That’d be crazy.”
It wouldn’t be surprising if WWE’s creative decides to go with Paul facing Cena, as it would bring in more dollars than a Theory-Cena match.
Vince McMahon wanted Theory to face Cena
Vince McMahon was very high on Austin Theory and pushed him to the moon, before officially retiring from WWE due to the allegations made against him. It appeared as though Austin Theory will be a part of a future program during John Cena’s last appearance on WWE TV to celebrate his 20th anniversary with the company.
There were rumors that a Cena-Theory match might take place at SummerSlam this year, but it, unfortunately, didn’t due to Cena’s tight schedule. Although Triple H has perhaps slowed down the Theory’s push since Vince’s retirement. According to reports, Triple H and the sponsors of the WWE want John Cena and Logan Paul to fight off at “The Greatest Spectacle in Sports Entertainment,” Wrestlemania.
