WWE superstar Baron Corbin was shocked as he got a huge pop from the audience following his win over Rick Boogs at a recent live event. The WWE Live Event was taking place at the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
The former United States champion was on a losing streak for numerous matches because the promotion didn’t have a proper plan for him. Consequently, he was continuing his winless run on the European tour too.
The ovation Baron Corbin got in Paris is INSANE.
You can tell he was very moved by it. Such a great moment. pic.twitter.com/3RlbaO8WwJ

However, when Corbin finally managed to take down the likes of Boogs, the crowd didn’t stop cheering for the former Mr. Money in the Bank. The response from the WWE Universe was quite overwhelming for Baron Corbin, and he even got emotional. Also, the crowd continued to chant for Corbin throughout the show.
Before his win at the Accor Arena, Corbin’s last televised win came against Akira Tozawa on the November 14, 2022, edition of Raw. On the other hand, he recorded his last non-televised win over Drew Gulak on July 10, 2022.
Wow!!!
Tonight was beyond INCREDIBLE!! Thank you #WWEParis

After getting a surreal response from the audience of Paris, Baron Corbin took to Twitter to state that he’ll never forget the night as it was beyond incredible for the 38-year-old.
After what happened at the Accor Arena, WWE might consider giving Corbin a decent gimmick and a push. In the past, he has majorly been given mid and comedic monikers such as Happy Corbin, King Corbin, the New Wrestling God, and more, which never actually worked.
What went wrong for Baron Corbin in WWE?
Baron Corbin was signed in NXT in 2012. During his time with the Gold and Black brand, he was a top star. He had feuds with Samoa Joe, Johnny Gargano, and Tommaso Ciampa. Corbin also formed a tag team with his former rival, Rhyno.
The former United States Champion made his main roster debut by winning the 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which also featured Kane, The Big Show, and Shaquille O’Neal. Next year, he won the US Championship and also became Mr. Money in the Bank.
Later, he failed to cash in his contract, and his downfall in WWE started. At Raw, from Constable Corbin to King Corbin to Happy Corbin, he was constantly getting dragged by the creative team.
WWE even tried to make his finisher credible by acknowledging that only Drew McIntyre has been able to kick out from his “End of Days” so far. However, the former champion failed to establish a connection with the crowd. But it seems like his time has arrived finally now.
