Ahead of WrestleMania 38, The Undertaker was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame earlier tonight and the spectators in attendance made the event even more special by giving him a 5-minute standing ovation!
It was announced that The Undertaker would be the headlining Hall of Fame inductee for this year’s ceremony. The other candidates were Vader, Queen Sharmell, The Steiner Brothers and Shad Gaspard.
The Deadman was inducted into the HOF by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. McMahon had a massive role in making the character of The Undertaker what is now. Hence, there was no one better than the boss to induct one of his longtime trustees into the prestigious Hall of Fame.

The Undertaker: ‘Vince McMahon is a father figure to me’
In his speech, The Undertaker thanked all the fans and his family for being there throughout the years. But the man to whom Taker is the most grateful is Vince McMahon. During his speech, he spoke about how Vince changed his life and gave him the opportunity of a lifetime. He said,
“Vince McMahon, while you weren’t completely sold on me in the beginning, you ended up giving me the chance of a lifetime. When WCW told me, I’d never draw money, you saw enough in me to give me an opportunity to prove them wrong. The reason I’m standing here today is because of you. You changed my entire life.”

“You have been an incredible friend and an incredible father figure. Especially after my dad passed away. No matter if it was a pat on the back, a hug or a swift kick in the a**, you always seemed to know what exactly I needed. And from WrestleMania 7 to WrestleMania 38, that added up to a few pats several hugs and a whole lot of kicks.”
He then joked how Vince McMahon tried to get rid of Undertaker a long time ago by putting him in dangerous formats of matches such as Hell in a Cell, Buried Alive, Boneyard and especially a Punjabi Prison match.
Taker last competed at WrestleMania 36 again AJ Styles in a Boneyard match. It was the final match of his career. However, before ending his speech, Undertaker hinted at the possibility of coming back for another match and said, “Never say never!”
