Since Triple H took charge of WWE as the Head of Creatives following Vince McMahon’s retirement announcement in July 2022, a lot of things have changed. Most of the changes have turned out to be commendable while a few of them failed to impress the fans.
However, it’s fair to say that ‘The Kings of Kings’ has crafted a perfect act of revenge on the former WWE CEO, Vince McMahon. From 2012 to 2020, Triple H was the Executive Producer of NXT and WWE got numerous top stars during that time from NXT to the main roster.

However, the brand which has always been in the contrasting combinations of gold and black was changed by Vince McMahon in a much more colorful child-like design a couple of years ago. The name of the Rookie brand was also changed as it became “NXT 2.0”.
Thus, Triple H wasn’t impressed with the design so he got rid of it as soon as he attained the power to perform the action. As a result in 2022 September, the logo of the brand was changed into a much more subtle combination of silver and gold and also, and the label was “2.0” removed.
Consequently, after almost 10 months, WWE’s Head of Creatives has recently introduced new titles for various champions. Hunter’s act of revamping the old titles is seen as revenge against Vince McMahon.
Does Vince McMahon still own WWE?
Since the inception of WWE, the pro wrestling promotion has been owned by a member of the McMahon family. Last year, Vince McMahon had to walk off from the company following the allegations of sexual assault.
As a result, Triple H was named the Head of Creatives while Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon became co-CEOs. Consequently, Vince McMahon’s departure led to a series of rumors of the company getting sold. Numerous top companies such as Disney, ESPN, and Netflix were reportedly interested in purchasing WWE.

Hence, the former WWE CEO returned to the board of directors of the company earlier this year. He was there to reveal that the pro wrestling promotion is seeking a potential buyer. Thus, in April 2023, WWE was sold to UFC parent company Endeavor. The promotion is led by Chairman Patrick Whitesell and CEO Ari Emanuel.
McMahon appeared on CNBC with Endeavor CEO, Ari Emanuel to officially announce the deal. He revealed the estimated valuation of WWE is around $9.3 billion. Consequently, Endeavor shareholders will have a 51% share of the company, with WWE shareholders making up the other 49%.
McMahon later revealed that he’s part of the company on the “higher level”. He’s the Executive Chairman but he won’t be interfering in the creative department.
