On this week’s Raw XXX, the Undertaker appeared as the American Badass, confronting LA Knight. The Undertaker was advertised for Raw, however, the image depicted him in street clothes rather than his typical black hat and black jacket style that he sported for the majority of his career.
There was a segment in which LA Knight made a ring promo. Knight was his normal arrogant self as he humiliated Royal Rumble opponent Bray Wyatt. Knight also challenged any legend to come down and see what he would do to Wyatt at the Royal Rumble.
The Dead Man appeared in his American Badass avatar, complete with a motorcycle and the Kid Rock “American Badass” theme song. As Taker entered the ring, Knight bailed, stating he would let The Phenom live another day as he walked down the ramp.
Bray Wyatt stood behind Knight with his lantern as the lights went out. Taker grabbed Knight as he backed up into the ring and held him until Wyatt entered. The Undertaker shoved Knight, who hit Sister Abigail. Taker then approached Wyatt and mumbled something before walking away.
Did The Undertaker pass the torch to Bray Wyatt?
On the “WWE Raw is XXX” special episode in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The Undertaker seemed to transfer the proverbial torch to Bray Wyatt.

Taker has long been a fan of Wyatt’s work, even going so far as to declare the latter “a phenomenal talent” while Wyatt’s time away from WWE. Taker also asked WWE to re-hire Wyatt, saying he wanted to see him “come back home” earlier this year at WrestleMania Axxess. WrestleMania 31 also included a bout between Wyatt and Taker, which “The Phenom” won.
Taker has been outspoken about his feelings about the current WWE roaster, as well as his admiration for Bray and his work. Many other wrestlers share his sentiments. According to Triple H, Bray is one of the most creative minds he has ever worked with.
Many wrestlers and fans believe that Bray Wyatt can bring that dark, terrifying, supernatural vibe to the modern WWE in the same manner that Taker did in his day. This could explain why Taker passed the torch to Bray and whispered in his ear.
Bray Wyatt is a once-in-a-lifetime talent, and WWE should take advantage of him. He has the potential to continue on Taker’s legacy and become the legend he has always wanted to be.
