WWE Monday Night RAW’s latest edition saw RK-Bro put their tag team titles on the line against The Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis). Late in the match, a dumbfounded Randy Orton was sizing Gable up for an RKO not realizing that Otis was the legal man. Gable then pushed Randy Orton mid-RKO onto the big man who hit the world’s strongest slam to pick up the victory and become the new WWE RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!

Chad Gable and Otis were hot on the heels of RK-Bro for the past month. On the last edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, Gable & Otis successfully defeated RK-Bro to earn their shot at the championship this week.
Randy Orton and Riddle reigned successfully as champions since Summerslam pay-per-view in August of 2021 where they defeated AJ Styles and Omos. The unlikely duo’s reign lasted 142 Days.
Recent episodes have seen miscommunication between the now former tag team champs. The past few weeks have seen Riddle ignore Orton’s advice and take losses which added to The Viper’s frustration. Before the title defense today, Randy had asked Riddle to tag him in at any point if he did not know what to do next in the match.
Matt Riddle took most of the punishment during the match. Once he made the hot tag to Orton, the crowd erupted and The Viper went on a flurry of offense including a top rope suplex to Gable.

However, in the end, it was Orton who would get pinned and lose the titles for RK-Bro.
What’s next for RK-Bro?
Randy and Riddle’s miscommunication angle has been building up for weeks. The title loss could be the last straw for Randy Orton. With Wrestlemania season around the corner, we could see Randy losing his cool with Riddle and in effect turning heel once again.
Matt Riddle vs Randy Orton at Wrestlemania would be a perfect mid-card match and a perfect end to this storyline which has been brewing for months.
How do you feel this storyline will evolve? Will RK-Bro stick together and make another run at the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships? Or Will we see The Apex Predator back as a singles competitor?
