Royal Rumble is one of the most anticipated pay-per-views of the year for WWE fans. Since the first-ever Royal Rumble in 1988 at the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, there have been 36 Rumbles as of now. On January 28, 2024, WWE will have its 37 annual Royal Rumble to start the road to WrestleMania.
30 superstars standing up to each other in an attempt to throw one another over the top rope is one of the most awesome sights for a WWE fan to witness. Over the years there have been numerous memories created in the Royal Rumble.
We have seen the dominance of superstars like Kane, Big Show, and Khali overpowering their opponents in the ring and the athleticism of wrestlers like Rey Mysterio. Kofi Kingston is well known for his weird attempts to save himself from getting eliminated and surprise the audience in the arena.
There have been numerous records set in this mega event, like the longest time spent in a Royal Rumble which is held by Gunther who broke the 17-year record of Rey Mysterio in 2023. Or the shortest time spent in Rumble which is held by Santino Marella who got eliminated in 1.9 seconds in 2009. But the one most important record fans talk about is about who has eliminated the most number of opponents in a single Royal Rumble match.
This prestigious record as of now is held by two heavyweight superstars together Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar. Strowman eliminated a whopping 13 opponents in the Greatest Royal Rumble of 2018 where 40 men fought in the Rumble. Two years later Brock Lesnar matched this amazing feat in 2020 when he entered at number 1 and eliminated 13 superstars before getting eliminated by Drew McIntyre.
Will Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman return at the Royal Rumble 2024?
Strowman and Lesnar have been gone from the ring for a long time now. Braun was last seen in the ring on May 1, 2023, in a tag team match along with Ricochet against the Alpha Academy. ‘The Monster Among Men’ has been out of action since then due to a serious injury.

On the other hand, Lesnar was seen in the SummerSlam 2023, where the beast was defeated by Cody Rhodes in a trilogy of matches. According to reports, the Beast Incarnate is highly likely to return to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2024.
