Roman Reigns is arguably the biggest star on the planet when it comes to sports entertainment. Although he is the face of the biggest wrestling promotion in the United States, his character is not really a babyface. As a matter of fact, Roman is perhaps the first heel champion to be the top guy of WWE. While he plays a manipulating bad guy character, The Tribal Chief is universally loved regardless.
It all began in 2020 when Roman Reigns shocked the world by returning with a new attitude eventually turning heel to redefine his career. Later, the Head of the Table formed The Bloodline and became the leader by manipulating his cousins, The Usos to an extent that they helped Roman in successfully defending his title on several occasions. As a result, he has held the WWE Universal Champion for almost three years.
Though Roman’s career has skyrocketed since turning heel, WWE was unsure about turning him into a bad guy during the early days of his career. It’s safe to say that Reigns being the biggest babyface of the company was a failed experiment.
Recently a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that the Stamford-based promotion is looking to turn the Tribal Chief babyface once more. Upon hearing the report, the WWE Universe expressed their opinion on whether they want to see Roman eventually return as a face after a great heel run.
It’ll never work. Some guys are just born to be heels. They literally tried for years to make him one, then it took like 3 months to make him an awesome heel 😅

no he’s gone too far to randomly just be a happy baby face again, it wouldnt make sense. maybe if he went away for about 2 years but now no

He will be booed again.

No. Not yet, not now… He’s still has to face the fallout of The Bloodline and fall completely down. Then he can leave to go do Hollywood stuff and when he comes back it can be as a face.
No one is buying a face turn after the reign of terror caused by the tribal chief.

Considering the reactions, the majority of fans don’t seem ready for his face turn. Furthermore, he has become such a great villain that it would be a hard task to make his face turn make sense. it remains to be seen what WWE has in store for The Tribal Chief and his story as a mafia-esque character.
Is the WWE ending Roman Reigns’ run as The Tribal Chief?
Roman Reigns’ run as The Tribal Chief is nothing short of legendary. The character and The Bloodline story have carried Reigns to the mountaintop. Moreover, the character has played a massive role in him being one of the longest-reigning champions in the history of the company.
However, as great as the run has been, all great things must eventually come to an end. Also, WWE creatives are perhaps working on how to provide a fitting end to his legendary title reign and The Tribal Chief run. Meanwhile, with The Bloodline faction steadily crumbling down, the end could be near.
Thus, fans could witness the end of one of the greatest long-term stories sooner rather than later. And as soon as Roman loses his Undisputed title, his character of Head of the Table could be on the verge of ending for a new beginning.
