Sami Zayn is currently one of WWE’s top babyfaces. The Canadian star’s run as part of the Bloodline gained him massive popularity in the WWE universe. After turning on Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, Zayn is set to embark on a Daniel Bryan-esque babyface run on WWE TV.
Fans have been crying out for Zayn to bring his fan-favorite theme “Worlds Apart” back after his face turn. Zayn was using a different version of his theme since October 2021. Triple H has now finally listened to the WWE universe and brought back the theme on Smackdown this week. The entrance got a massive reaction from the live crowd as well as fans on social media.
The “Worlds Apart” theme first started playing during Sami’s NXT run as the “Underdog From the Underground.” The song,, which is composed by WWE and CFO$, made its way into the main roster as well. It then got replaced during his heel run while Vince McMahon was in charge.
The reason why Zayn was given the song is due to its similarity with the old theme that he used during his ROH days. During his “El Generico” days, Zayn had the “Ole” song which was a huge hit among fans. WWE, due to copyright reasons, was not allowed to use the theme and therefore they created a different version of it.
All the songs Sami Zayn has used for his walk to the WWE ring
Sami Zayn, during his WWE run, has made his way out to the ring to several different theme songs. After the “World’s Apart” theme was binned, WWE gave him a generic theme song in 2021. The theme named “This is it” was not well received by fans but WWE kept on using it regardless.
Zayn has also made his entrance to some other stars’ theme songs. During his time with the Bloodline, Zayn accompanied the stars to the ring while their themes were playing. Zayn made entrances with the themes of stars like Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Solo Sikoa. Another theme that Zayn has used is Shinsuke Nakamura’s “Shadows of a Setting Sun” during their alliance which started back in 2019.
Following the events of Royal Rumble, Zayn is now set to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. The match will happen at Elimination Chamber PLE and it will see Zayn competing in front of his hometown crowd in Montreal.
