Brock Lesnar’s initial WWE days with Paul Heyman
Brock Lesnar made his WWE debut in 2002. He was accompanied by Paul Heyman who described as the next biggest superstar in WWE. Brock Lesnar was an amazing amateur wrestler and a football player. His physique and stature was enough to convince Vinnie Mac regarding the wrestler’s future in WWE. He was paired with Paul Heyman which added to his popularity as Heyman was a popular TV personality for the WWE.
Brock Lesnar had made immediate impact in his first year at WWE after winning the King of the Ring Tournament and defeating Rob Van Dam in the finals of the tournament. He later went on to become the WWE Champion at Summerslam in the same year against the Rock. He became the fastest wrestler to win the WWE Championship since his debut, which was 126 days.
Lesnar’s return to WWE in 2012
Brock Lesnar’s return in 2012 was a big deal. WWE was getting stale at that point in time and Lesnar provided a great amount of interest in the WWE product to the fans. Paul Heyman returned to be on brock Lesnar’s side as “kayfabe” on-screen advocate to act as his mouthpiece. Paul Heyman’s promos regarding Brock Lesnar were so good that they made the “Beast” feel like a bigger deal than when he first came into the WWE, following his UFC success. He went to capture the WWE Championship and the WWE Universal Championship and remained to be the greatest WWE attraction during that time period.
Paul Heyman has now aligned himself with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and still plays an active role in WWE programming.
