Both Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae had been associated with the world of professional wrestling before knowing each other. However, it was quite later that they two became friends. Gargano once spoke to AZ Central where he revealed how he met Candice.

“I remember [Candice] brought her cousin to the back, and they were just hanging out talking, and I decided I was going to try to get to [Candice] by talking to her cousin about her cell phone,” he said. Though it was not a successful attempt as Gargano wanted it to be, the two became friends.

The couple also shared the memory of their first date together. While couples across the world ensure to have a fancy date, Gargano and Candice had different plans. The couple sneaked out at a Subway nearby while they were part of an independent circuit. However, the date too didn’t go as planned as AEW star Trent Beretta decided to third-wheel them.

Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae are the parents of a one-year-old Quill Gargano. The couple was blessed with Quill on 17th February 2022. Candice took an off from in-ring action during her pregnancy and she joined back the ring in September 2022 stronger than before.

Just like any other professional wrestler’s parents, Johnny Gargano opened up to work for his newborn. Many fans believed that Gargano would change his way of performing in the ring after Quill’s birth but that isn’t the case here. Talking to the USA Network, Gargano said, “I don’t think I’ll ever wrestle a ‘different’ way,” working out the dynamics between his personal life as well as professional life.
