The WWE Hall of Fame induction for Batista was originally scheduled for 202o, which was postponed to 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. But he could not attend the ceremony due to previous commitments and requested WWE to remove him from the class.
Batista’s Hall of fame induction status
As of now, PwInsider reports that there is no current plan for Batista‘s HOF induction in 2022. According to WWE sources, Batista could be inducted next year at WrestleMania 39, which will be held in Los Angeles. When Batista’s induction is revealed, WWE wants him to be the face of the Hall of Fame class.
Batista joined the WWE at the age of 33 as a member of the wrestling stable Evolution as the powerhouse of the group and became one of the greatest superstars of the Ruthless Aggression Era, becoming a prominent main eventer and capturing the World Championship on six occasions along with several other titles during his stint at WWE.
He then went on to pursue an acting career, becoming well-known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie franchise, before returning for one more retirement match in 2019. Batista wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 35 against Triple H, which he lost.
Every year, WWE inducts legends into the Hall of Fame, but only a handful of significant Superstars end up being inducted into the HOF. Triple H, The Rock, and Batista are three huge names who have yet to be honored into the WWE Hall of Fame. The WWE has thus far only announced the names of the Undertaker, Vader, and Sharmell as a part of the Class of 2022 inductees.
