Kamaru Usman is the most dominant champion in UFC history at the moment in all of the male divisions. Usman has beaten some of the toughest fighters of this generation such as Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal, Gilbert Burns, Tyron Woodley, and this list goes on.
Despite all his achievements, Kamaru Usman remains one of the most hated champions in UFC at the moment. Though his last victory over Gilbert Burns has turned some haters into fans it’s safe to say that Usman does not get the credit he deserves.
In a recent interview with Kevin Iole, Dana White talked about what makes Kamaru Usman better than any other welterweight champion in recent times. White said:
“Yes, he is good at everything and one thing that he really has is consistency. When Tyron Woodley was the champion Woodley would look like ‘Oh my god Woodley is going to be the greatest thing ever and then Woodley would come out and not look like that. This guy is consistent. Every time this guy fights he looks unbelievable.”

Dana White also sent a message to the haters of the UFC welterweight champion and stated:
“He gets better and better and better. And when you see a guy that does that and fights the way he does there is no denying it. There are people out there, the Usman haters out there, you are a hater. The guy is an absolute savage. Everything he comes out to finish you.”
Kamaru Usman takes on Jorge Masvidal in a rematch at UFC 261. It won’t be debatable to say that Jorge Masvidal does not deserve a rematch after losing the first fight to Usman at UFC 251. However, Kamaru Usman wants to put an end to all the excuses Masvidal came up with following the first fight.

Jorge Masvidal did take the fight on short notice and it seemed he was not at his peak physical condition to fight a championship fight. However, Masvidal has not fought anyone since the loss to Usman and it seems that Usman did him a favor by granting him the rematch. There are tons of exciting matchups for Jorge Masvidal in the welterweight division including the grudge matches with Colby Covington and Leon Edwards. However, Masvidal has not stepped into the octagon since UFC 251 and how this inactivity will play a role in the fight against Usman is certainly intriguing.
