Alex Sandro Silva Pereira, aka Alex Pereira, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and former kickboxing champion competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Pereira has made a significant mark in the light heavyweight division, currently holding the title of UFC light heavyweight champion. He is also the former UFC middleweight champion, making him the first fighter in UFC history to secure titles in the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.
Pereira is also a former Glory middleweight and light heavyweight champion. Before his UFC career, Pereira showcased his skills in various kickboxing promotions like It's Showtime and the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship. In MMA, he has competed for organizations such as Jungle Fight and Legacy Fighting Alliance before finally entering the UFC.
Currently, he is ranked #4 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings and continues to prove a dominant force in the octagon.
