Liverpool were in danger of losing out to a team that is in the bottom half of this season’s Premier League table. This was after the hosts, Luton Town, took the lead in the game via an 80th-minute goal by Tahith Chong. Just when it seemed like the Reds might end up losing the game, Luis Diaz stepped up.
The Colombian scored in the added time of the 95th minute to draw the game 1-1. He rescued his side, Liverpool, from an unexpected defeat. However, after scoring the goal, the Reds’ number seven reportedly lifted off his shirt.
On his undershirt, the player has written something as a gesture to his father’s recent kidnapping incident. As per the reports, the 26-year-old’s written message was a request to his father’s kidnappers. The message reportedly read, “I beg you to release my father”.
According to further reports, the English FA first considered a sanction for the player. This was for breaking the disciplinary rule by lifting his shirt. But, reportedly, the FA reached the decision not to sanction the winger for his action due to an exceptional set of conditions.

However, the FA initially considering a sanction for the player hasn’t gone down well among the fans. One of the fans reacted by commenting, “So they (FA) thought of doing it??? Disgrace”. Another one chipped in and stated, “It’s already embarrassing for the fact that they thought of it”.

One of the fans inflicted the irony of the situation and wrote, “Well the rule is they can’t do that, so they have actually consciously gone against their own rule”. It can be inferred that the fans are disgusted with the FA for even considering any sanction against Diaz.
Premier League clubs players demand Colombia match to be canceled till Luis Diaz’s father is set free
As per reports, the players from Premier League clubs Arsenal and Brighton have inflicted that Colombia’s upcoming fixture against Brazil should be canceled until the 26-year-old player’s dad is safely freed by his kidnappers.
Reports suggest Colombian and Brighton women’s player Jorelyn Carabali and Arsenal’s youth goalkeeper Alexei Rojas joined the crowded compatriots, to show their support for Luis Diaz. Moreover, as per reports, the Colombian Ambassador to the United Kingdom drafted a brace to suspend Colombia’s match against Brazil.
