Cody Rhodes has been doing a great job as the Undisputed WWE Champion since his historic WrestleMania 40 win, and his ongoing storyline with AJ Styles proves it. The American Nightmare and Styles had one of the best matches at Backlash PLE in France, as Cody cemented his title reign after a hard-fought victory over The Phenomenal One.
Even though Rhodes has been performing pretty well as the champion, a 65-year-old WWE Hall of Famer could be joining forces with him. It is none other than former AEW star Arn Anderson, who discussed about working with Cody Rhodes during his recent appearance on Busted Open Radio.
While talking in the interview, The Enforcer talked about lacing his boots to follow the same role as Heyman albeit for Rhodes, and it has taken the wrestling industry by storm. Sharing how he would be interested in a short-term reunion with Cody, he said, “If anybody out there thinks that’s a good idea, let me know. I don’t know. That would be something, ’cause he and I never had that conversation.” (Credits- Wrestling Inc)
Looking at his comments, it seems that Arn is interested in joining The American Nightmare in WWE. But it all depends on what the Stamford-based promotion has in store for the holder of their biggest prize in their organization. Amid all the speculation around this situation, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Cody.
Cody Rhodes has expressed his desire to have a manager in WWE
Arn’s comments about potentially joining Cody have grabbed the attention of the audience, but it’s important to remember that Cody Rhodes has also expressed his desire to have a manager in WWE. The American Nightmare shared this during his appearance on Busted Open Radio, when he went there for an interview before his match against Logan Paul at King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia.

During the conversation, the fan-favorite superstar said, “Maybe I’m looking for the classic wrestling manager to join me on this title reign, and I don’t know who that is, or what that is. But it just felt like I wouldn’t mind someone.” These remarks clearly showcase that he’s in need of a manager, and maybe Arn could be the perfect option to work with Rhodes.
Arn Anderson could be the guy Cody Rhodes needs to make his title reign truly memorable
The American Nightmare has himself stated that he’s looking to have a manager on his side, and the 65-year-old is arguably the best possible solution to this. In fact, Arn Anderson could be the guy Cody Rhodes needs to make his title reign truly memorable, and register it among one of the most incredible runs in history.
What makes these two a great pair is the kind of history they share, as it goes back to the days when Cody wasn’t even born. Arn was known to Dusty Rhodes, and that’s initially how they knew each other. The WWE Hall of Famer was a part of the company until 2019, after which he went to All Elite Wrestling, the professional wrestling promotion that Rhodes co-founded, and worked there for a long time, before leaving it in 2024.
During his stint with AEW, Arn Anderson even worked as Cody’s manager, and that is probably the biggest reason why he might be joining the Stamford-based promotion to take up this role once again. This move could be a grand step for The American Nightmare too, as he’ll get a sort of backing on his side, which is something he desperately needs so that his run doesn’t run stale before his rumored feud with Dwayne Johnson.
