However, he has not set foot on the court since then, due to an injury he suffered against the Oklahoma City Thunder. James at the game as well, and even expressed his opinion on the controversial call on James Bradberry.
Will Damar Hamlin play in the NFL again?
There haven’t been many reports on Damar’s health status ever since reports of him returning to consciousness emerged. NFL fans have been eager to find out if Damar will return to the NFL any time soon. Not only that, whether he will return is a question that many have raised as well. Recently, NFLPA director Thom Mayer weighed in on Damar’s possible return.
On the Sirius XM Doctor Radio show ‘Heart to Heart,’ he said, “I don’t want to get into HIPAA issues, but I guarantee you that Damar Hamlin will play professional football again.” This would be a huge update for fans, especially since Damar has not stepped onto the NFL field since the day of the tragic event. It is wholesome to see that Damar got to meet an icon like LeBron recently, and perhaps received some words of support from the NBA legend.

Speaking of words of support, James spoke about Damar when he collapsed on the field. LeBron said during a post-game press conference, “My thoughts and super prayers up to the skies above for that kid’s family, for him, for that brotherhood of the NFL and everybody, a part of the NFL family. It’s definitely the right call by… whoever had the authority to make that call to suspend that. The safety of players in all sports is always the most important. It was a terrible thing to see.”
LeBron will return to the NBA soon to help the Lakers make the playoffs this season, after what was a hectic trade deadline for the whole league. As for Damar, his future hangs in the balance as the NFL awaits his return.
