Mikey Williams has made headlines recently and it has been for all the wrong reasons. The high school basketball star was arrested on suspicion of five charges of assault. NBC San Diego reported that he was arrested on April 13, but was later released the next day. The investigation is still ongoing, but the youngster was provided bail at $50,000.

Mikey has been one of the best high school basketball players in the last few months. In 2022, he committed to Memphis, despite having a few colleges after his services. The young star will be donning the Memphis Tigers jersey regularly from the start of the 2023-24 season.
During the 2022-23 season, Mikey averaged 23.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game. These are phenomenal numbers for a high school player who some may not have heard of yet. This has led plenty of high-profile brands to queue up to sign Williams to endorsement deals.
Mikey Williams’ NIL valuation stands at a whopping $3.3 million
The former San Ysidro High School star is one of the highest-valued high school basketball players at $3.3 million in NIL valuation, according to On3. He has signed endorsement deals with reputed brands like PUMA (signed in 2021) and Cash App (signed in 2022). Along with that, Mikey also has contracts with I Got It Auction and LaceClips.

For those who don’t know, Williams is the second-highest valued NIL athlete. LeBron James‘ son Bronny James sits on the throne for now but with a huge gap. The Sierra Canyon talent has raked in a NIL valuation of a staggering $7.2 million.
Mikey holds his ground against the best, he is a 5-star recruit who stands at 6’2 right now. Although he isn’t the tallest on the court most of the time, he makes up for it with his vertical. Mikey is a great dunker and can score with ease, especially from mid-range. Many believe that he could put up a good fight against Bronny in the coming years, but only time will tell how these young players turn out.
