The Los Angeles Clippers just cannot find a win since James Harden joined the squad. The deal that was supposedly going to make the team an actual contender for the title is proving to be a flop. Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas had a lot to say about this Clippers-Harden situation. Arenas openly stated that Los Angeles sucked on his program, “Gil’s Arena,” citing the team’s recent troubles.
Harden isn’t the only one to blame for the Clippers’ problems, according to former Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas aka Agent Zero. The Clippers have dropped their past five games, with Harden playing in each of the last four. However, according to Arenas, the issue extends beyond the recent purchase.
His initial tweet, which included the podcast footage, implied that the Clippers were already worthless. He stressed that their defeats had been appalling and their victories had come against weaker opponents.
Gilbert Arenas urges James Harden to make a huge position change
Agent Zero wants James Harden to make a massive change in his position to fit into the Clippers’ squad. Although James has been starting alongside Russell Westbrook for the Clippers, He shouldn’t compete with Russ as the point guard. Citing examples of the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Chris Paul, Gil said, “The problem is he’s at the 2, but he’s trying to be a point guard still. He has to be a shooting guard.”

“Like Steph and CP3 right now. When CP3 is together, Steph can’t try to be the point guard too,” he said. He also mentioned that Harden must play the two-guard position since Ty Lue cannot force Westbrook to play there because his shooting isn’t one of his strong suits. James is a fantastic scorer and shooter, but he needs to focus on his role and stop worrying about leading the league in assists, says Arenas.
James Harden does not suit Tyronn Lue’s small lineup
Of course, Ty Lue didn’t always have it easy. The Clippers had hoped to close the enormous void left by Chris Paul when Harden joined the club. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard provided them with excellent wings, and they had Westbrook on the roster as a promising asset.
In the very recent enlightenment, Ty Lue finally figures out what the thing is with Harden. James Harden and the Clippers were having trouble with a small ball lineup, according to coach Lue. But the coach is trying to figure out how to get through his issue with The Beard. Primarily because he has missed the entire preseason, his agility and quickness have decreased.
“I think the small lineup doesn’t really fit him well right now until he gets in better game shape. Keeping a 5 on the floor with him as much as possible will really be good for us.”

Harden has to come back into game form in order to mesh well with this style of play, which is ideal for the lineup’s quickness and agility. At this stage in the season, it’s clear to the Clippers that no little adjustment will make their problems go away. They are sluggish, elderly, and slow.
