It has only been about a week since former UFC champion Brandon Moreno injured himself during the flyweight title fight against Alexandre Pantoja. The champion fighter did not take much time to return back to action.
He was recently seen at AAA Triplemania 31 Tijuana, a Mexican Professional Wrestling event. The fighter was involved in a confrontation scene with AAA wrestler Daga (real name: Miguel Angel Olivo Castro) who shoved and slapped the former flyweight champion.
Moreno replied with a classic spinning back kick. He further hit the Mexican Wrestler with a knee and then finally locked him in an armbar which forced the opponent to tap.

It was reported earlier this year that Moreno was going to be involved at the AAA TripleMania XXXI which is the company’s biggest event. The ‘Assassin Baby’ did appear and fans were surprised that the MMA fighter was such a natural after his amazing performance at Lucha Libre.
What shocked the fight fans even more is that Brandon Moreno was injured in his fight last week against Pantoja and to return to action with this sort of energy and performance was truly phenomenal.
Brandon Moreno suffered a broken hand at UFC 290
Former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno lost his belt to arch-rival Alexandre Pantoja on July 8 at UFC 290. What made the loss unavoidable was the fact that he broke his hand in the first round of the bout itself. In spite of the injury, the fighter showed immense endurance and went on to fight to put up one of the best fights of the year.
Both of the fighters were awarded a $50,000 bonus as their fight was the best one at UFC 290.

This was Moreno’s third loss in the 3 fights that he has been involved in with Alexandre Pantoja. Dana White confirmed that he was open for the 4th one after this amazing display of fight skills by both of them. However, we will have to wait for that one as Moreno’s injury has forced him to take a step back from the action.
Speaking about his loss against an old rival, Moreno wrote on his Instagram:
“When it’s all over, I promise you this will be the most watched Netflix movie,” Moreno wrote in Spanish. “I’ll be back soon friends, much love to everyone.”
